Riccardo Brett
Freelance Researcher
BA in Cultural Heritage Conservation and Second Level Degree (MA) in Anglo-American Post-colonial literature, Ca’Foscari Venice University.
In 2010 I started gathering the people who wished to join in what is now Archaetypes International Research. I’m currently the president of the association; however hierarchical systems are not part of our way to get along with things. My experience is worth when planning projects and dealing with bureaucratic issues. Then, once on site, my main role focuses on archaeological survey. This is to say the first part of the “job” when dealing with an area of research. From the maps, to the books, to the field. Collecting data, experiencing through phenomenology the landscape and helping the teams in organizing the preliminary work of collecting data (GPS, photography, mapping, probing).
My intent is that of creating a network of experts and enthusiastic students willing to put their heart and strength to help socio-economical areas through the development and promotion of the local people’s heritage.

Nowadays pure research could not bring the expected results if it was not always supported by an adequate system for the spreading of knowledge.
We live in a time where technology has undergone a process of democratization that has allowed all people, of every social class, to get hold of effective means of communication.
Documentaries are a product available to everyone. The language of cinema is able to promote concepts, even complex ones, through images. Moreover, through images it is possible to reconstruct entire worlds, worlds in which, often, we can plunge in its meanings.
My role within the AIR is to provide a social service!
The goal is to publish in a professional manner (through a scientific approach and humanistic) of the historical / archaeological / experiential information which was the subject of our investigations and work.
I am a seeker of truth: truth as the authentic experiences in the field and I am honored to share this privilege with everyone.

My vision for AIR is that of a vessel with a dedicated crew exploring the unknown in space in time for knowledge and coming back to share it with the people. Planning and preparing these expeditions and carrying them out is what moves me.

Fabián Ledo Fernandez
Heritage Conservation Archaeologist
My vision of AIR is a network of people who have similar interests in the personal and professional realms in order to allow them to share knowledge and keep growing together.
Our mission is to travel the world helping local communities in the present by understanding their past and using that heritage as a knowledge source to raise awareness on sustainable ways to develop their own economy and society.
My personal interests and skills are related to the Heritage Conservation
in its double material and unmaterial nature. New methodologies brought to us by the Digital Age such as Virtual Archaeology, GIS, etc. help me to document, interpretate and broadcast in a visually easy and understandable way, which is fundamental in our mission to raise the social awareness. about the importance of Cultural Heritage in developing countries.
